I'm Danny Englander. I built A Gentler Day for people living with chronic pain, rare disease, or autoimmune conditions: the kind of days where getting through is the whole task, and the things you'd say to a friend are hard to say to yourself.

What this is

A small, growing collection of quiet reminders. A new set is chosen each day, so it's worth a second look tomorrow, not just today. Nothing to sign up for, nothing to finish.

How it's built

Designed by Danny Englander and built with Claude AI and Claude Code, using Astro and Tailwind CSS, deployed on Netlify. It's static, keeps no accounts, and asks nothing of you beyond a visit.

Rare Zebra

If a rare disease diagnosis is part of your story, I also built Rare Zebra, a fast, faceted search over Orphanet's rare disease data. It's a prototype covering a sample of diseases, not the full catalogue, so not finding one there doesn't mean it isn't real or rare. Different tool, same goal: making a hard road a little easier to navigate.
